Compass Surveying offers a broad range of experience and technical expertise to meet the precise needs of private and public sector clients. Unlike companies that claim they do it all or other firms that have diluted their core services, we have been dedicated solely to the profession of land surveying since 1983.
We work in a changing industry, and we have been an early adapter of the best, most efficient and most accurate tools and techniques since our first days in business. Today, we integrate the most modern and reliable technology available, including robotics and GPS, allowing our survey specialists to work better and more efficiently than ever before.
But we also know we can’t turn over everything to machines. They can’t think, and we don’t rely solely on what they tell us. We test and independently confirm data at every step in the process to ensure information is accurate, comprehensive and reliable.
Our founder and president, Mike Filipski, Professional Land Surveyor, walked his first field more than 35 years ago, and he’s still actively involved in the company today. But he’s not alone. At Compass, we employ a team of highly experienced surveyors, along with field and CAD technicians, many with more than 15 years in the profession.
We’re committed to our clients, and we help them navigate through complex and unfamiliar processes and challenging projects. We understand how our expert surveying capabilities relate to all other professionals involved in the process of defining land boundaries, features, and uses, and we communicate with them simply and thoroughly.
